THURROCK Council is working with a local business to help ensure real Christmas trees are disposed of properly and safely in the New Year.
For a week in January, the IKEA store at West Thurrock is offering a collection point for all Christmas trees and the council will pick them up and dispose of them safely – making sure they are composted.
The tree collections will be in the outside fenced off area – opposite the store’s Customer Services/Home Delivery entrance and exit.
It will be open at the following dates and times:
Sunday, 6 January and Sunday 12 January – from 11am until 3pm
Monday 7 January to Friday 11 January – from 10am to 6pm
Saturday 12 January – from 9am to 6pm
