WEST Tilbury WI ladies welcomed the New Year in with a glass of wine.
There are many activities for members to enjoy this year members are invited to Speakers Day at the WI centre in Hatfield Peverel on 22nd February to hear and vote for new speakers. The WI County Day at Colchester will be held on the 8th March and a River Walk around Maldon on the 27th March.
Our speaker this month was PCSO Paula Knowles, who told members about her work in helping advise people on crime prevention. She bought several useful ideas and gave out alarms and marker pens with good advice in how to keep yourself safe in your home.
There was a good display for the competition entry of ‘Anything to do with the Police’
The winner of the competition was Iris Crane.
Raffle prizes were won by, Margaret Clamp, Iris Crane and June Adams.
West Tilbury meetings are every first Wednesday in the month at West Tilbury Village Hall 7pm-9-30pm.
