FIRE CREWS tackled a fire in a bungalow in Marshfoot Road, Chadwell St Mary on Monday evening (Jan 21st).
The officer in charge reported that 25% of the loft and roof of the bungalow – which measures eight metres by 10 metres – was well alight.
Crews wearing breathing apparatus used three hose reel jets to tackle the blaze.
Update: Firefighters extinguished the fire by 17:33hrs. They used three hose reel jets and wore eight sets of breathing apparatus.
