Private Fostering information session

THURROCK Council is running an information session, which is open to all, as part of its annual private fostering campaign.

This free event will take place at the Culver Centre on Wednesday 27 February, from 9.30 am to 11.30am.

Private fostering is where a child under the age of 16, (18 if disabled) is living with someone other than a parent, grandparent, biological aunt/uncle or sibling.

If a child lives with someone other than these family members for a period of 28 days or more then this is a private fostering arrangement; and not the same as fostering.

It is important the council is aware of all private fostering situations so it can offer support and guidance.

To book onto the information session or notify the council of a private fostering arrangement, contact privatefostering@thurrock.gov.uk or call 01375 652615.
