THE Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Yash Gupta, congratulated Grays Athletic for their successful season at Wednesday (24 April) evening’s meeting of the council.
Opening the meeting, he said: “I want to congratulate Grays Athletic Football Club, their players, their manager and all their supporters on their magnificent achievement in winning The Ryman Isthmian League North.
“In so doing they have now won 18 consecutive games, and have amassed over 100 points for the season.”
He added: “I will be writing to their chairman – Keith Burns – to offer our warm congratulations.”
