FIRE CREWS tackled a fire in a 25,000 litre diesel tank which endangered nearby buildings.
Crews used two hose reel jets to tackle the blaze.
The fire did not actually involve the diesel tank, it was in a large pile of tyres close to the tanker instead.
Divisional Officer M
ark Samuels said: “It was a very large pile of tyres which was close to the tank. Crews made sure that the tank was cooled as soon as they tackled the fire. Crews did an excellent job getting on top of this fire as quickly as they did.”
