Mickey Woodward to the rescue for LTD Foxes as they move to Rush Green

ONE OF THE up and coming football teams in the borough has thanked the former boss of Grays Athletic for helping them move towards their dream.

LTD Foxes had a tremendous season winning both the Essex under-18s cup and the Essex Womens Cup.

And now the Little Thurrock team will be moving to Rush Green Stadium near Romford in order to comply with ground requirements for semi-pro football.

Boss Chris Wright told the Thurrock Gazette: “I am very proud of the girls…the time has come to push for the highest tiered football.

“We’d like to thank Mickey Woodward for believing in the team and helping secure Rush Green Stadium as their home.

Their move contrasts somewhat with Grays Athletic who have moved out of Rush Green and are now lodging with Aveley.

  1. Think this story may be a little out of date.

“Wet Ham ” plan to take over all of the Rush Green facility for themselves now.

Grays Ath VERY unhappy at the way we have been treated, so Ltd Ladies may also be VERY unhappy.

  2. Editor’s note

We have had a few enquiries from Grays Ath fans re this. I spoke to LTD Foxes last night and their rep understood that MW was still in negotiation with WHU re this.
