Bell, a local shopper from Deal in Kent, has been crowned as the winner of the Elite Model Look UK Competition 2013, a nationwide search to find a new modelling superstar. Having attended an open casting day at intu Lakeside, May has won an Elite Model Management contract and now has the chance to win an international modelling contract, too, when she attends the Elite Model Look World Final in November.
After being scouted at intu Lakeside this spring, May was whisked off for an intensive week-long model boot camp of catwalk training, hair and make-up tutorials, health and fitness advice and confidence coaching.
Izzie Peskett, Marketing Manager at intu Lakeside, commented, “We’re absolutely delighted that one of our shoppers has won such a fantastic and life changing prize. Following the response to last year’s competition, we were really excited to be involved again and will definitely be following May’s modelling career which we’re sure will be hugely successful.”
This prestigious model search has launched the careers of Cindy Crawford, Gisele Bundchen and Sigrid Agren. Previous contestants have also enjoyed shooting for British Vogue, i-D and Hunger Magazine; walking for the likes of Mulberry and Topman at London Fashion Week and working for major clients such as Burberry, Rankin and Topshop.
