An inquest in to his death was opened and adjourned today, Wednesday, July 31.
His wife Joanna paid the following tribute to her husband, who also had family in the Peckham and Camberwell areas of London.
“Edward ‘Eddie/Eduardo’ Stanley was a very laid back man who adored his partner Joanna of 13 years, married for three, his eight-month old daughter Willow and all of his family and friends.
“He was considered by all who knew him to be a very decent honest hardworking man who provided for his family. He was a very proud man and no more so of his wife and baby daughter, these to him were his greatest achievements in his short live life.
“He was a devoted supporter of Arsenal Football Club and saw them through their highest moments and through their lowest. Eddie will be missed by all who loved him and his memory will be carried on for his daughter.
Until we meet again my darling, love you millions, bumble bee.”
