A1306 Essex – A1306 Arterial Road Purfleet in Purfleet closed and delays in both directions at the Watts Crescent junction, because of an accident involving a car and a motorcycle.

Police were called to a serious collision on the A13 Arterial Road, jct of Watts Crescent, Purfleet around 7.35am this morning (August 6).
It involved a red Mazda car driven by a 29 year old man from Dagenham and a motorbike, whose rider, a 57 year old man also from Dagenham, received serious leg and pelvic injuries.
He has been taken by air ambulance to the Royal London Hospital. The road has been closed between the Circus Tavern and M25 junction while the collision is investigated and the road cleared
Any witnesses to the collision are asked to contact the Chigwell Road Policing unit on 101.
