ON Thursday Aug 1st Mrs Lynne Eckley, together with her daughter, Jill, and grandson, Dan, travelled to Little Havens Hospice for Children in Rayleigh.
After a tour of the facilities, she presented the hospice with a cheque for £800. The money was in lieu of flowers at the funeral of her late husband, Gordon Eckley, a well loved teacher and sportsman in Thurrock.
The total money donated came to £1000, some of it going to St. Luke’s.
