FIRE Crews were called to assist colleagues in Kent with a chemical spillage which has closed lanes 15-17 at the Dartord tolls, Kent side.
The incident happened at just after 8am this morning (Monday).
Firefighters reported that a tanker had spilled a quantity of nitrous acid, which has leaked onto the roadway. The driver believes the leak has not stopped but Essex crews are standing by while the vehicle and surrounding area are inspected by Kent crews.

M25 Kent – Queueing traffic on M25 anticlockwise at A282, Dartford River Crossing toll booths, because of an earlier broken down vehicle. All lanes have been re-opened. Congestion to J2, A2 (Darenth Interchange).
