FORMER MP, Andrew MacKinlay has paid tribute to Stifford Clays councillor and former head of Thurrock Adult Community College, Diana Hale, who passed away on Thursday.
Mr MacKinlay said: “I am very sorry to hear the news about Diana Hale. She was exceptionally brave
and stoic in her illness.
“Diana was an outstanding Labour councillor and fighter for a better society. In addition, she was tireless in her ‘wider ‘ public work, including championing the National health Service and the development and regeneration of Thurrock.
“Countless people in thurrock are the beneficiaries of her work in advancing adult education and giving a’second chance in learning’ for those of middle years, and older.”
