1. Charity Race Night
THE Rotary Club of Thurrock Gateway is holding a ‘Charity Race Night’ in aid of ‘Thurrock Mind’ on Friday 25th October 2013.
Tickets for the evening are already racing out of the stalls @ £10 each, included is a ‘scrumptious’ Hot meal.
The Langdon Hills Golf Club is the ‘Race Course’ for the night and Race Sponsorship is still available @ £25 as well as horses @ £5 each.
The last event ‘SOLD OUT’ long before the night.

2. Interest Meeting
Interest Meeting at the Park Inn Hotel, North Stifford, RM16 5UE on 7th October 2013 @ 7pm for 7.15pm start.
Thurrock Gateway is the newest Rotary Club in the area and presently has 25 members with ages ranging from 23 to 65. They meet at the Park Inn on the first three Mondays of every month.
Rotary is a world-wide organisation with over 30,000 clubs in over 200 countries and 1.2M members worldwide.
As a club, they have raised several thousand pounds this past year for local and international charities by way of both social and fund raising events. They have been responsible for organising and marshalling, the Horndon Feast and Fayre 10K Road Race, Race Nights, Quiz Nights and various social outings within the club for members, family and friends.
A spokesperson said: “Whilst being aware that what we are doing is designed to help those less fortunate than ourselves, they see no reason why we should not have fun doing it. By being a Rotarian you obtain the friendship of Rotary nationally and throughout the world
“We would love to have you join us on the 7th October in order to discover more about us and Rotary, in an informal way.

3. New members
President Karen Sayers-Irving inducted and presented Club badges to Tom & Sheila Sayers-Irving and Sally Hawker at last nights meeting at The Park Inn hotel.
