Thurrock youngsters chosen for pantomime

JACK and the Beanstalk is a great hit with all the family whether you are 3 or 103 years old and as you are aware is this year’s GIANT of a Pantomime at the Thameside Theatre in Grays running from Friday 6 December 2013 to Sunday 5 January 2014.

Leading the cast is the lovely Natalie Cassidy as the Fairy, who we all know as Sonia Jackson in EastEnders and more recently Strictly Come Dancing and Celebrity Big Brother.

West End star Wain Douglas who has been a favourite with the audience at the Thameside Panto in recent years returns as Dame Tilly Trott.

Auditions for local youngsters took place before the holidays and the successful lucky performers who will be taking part in this year’s production are:

A record breaking 150 children turned up for the auditions and Darren Maddison, Producer of Polka Dot Pantomimes, alongside Director Lorinda King and Choreographer Vicky Bushell were very impressed with the high level of ability from all the youngsters.

They will meet up in November to start rehearsals before the big opening on Friday 6 December 2013.

Tickets are selling fast but it won’t cost you a bag of magic beans to come to the best value Panto in Essex! Cinderella was a huge success last year and this year will be no exception. Expect new scenery, new costumes, new faces and plenty of audience participation that will keep audiences of all ages entertained and amused. The Thameside Panto is a real story with real characters – not just a string of variety acts. There will be some fantastic singing and dancing and a large dose of comedy, sparkle, magic and spectacle thrown in for good measure!!

As usual, they are offering a great ‘Early Bird’ deal – which makes Jack and the Beanstalk the best value Panto in Essex! If you reserve now and pay by 5pm on Tuesday 8 October 2013 you can save up to £3.00 per ticket.

They will need a 25% deposit within four days of you making the reservation. To avoid you losing your deposit and reservation, we will phone you when the balance is due, as long as we have your telephone number.

To book your tickets you can telephone us on 0845 300 5264 or you can pop along to the theatre and book your tickets with our helpful Box Office staff. The Box Office is open 10.00am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday and on Saturdays 10am to 1.00pm. Alternatively, you can go on-line at any time of the day or night, where you can purchase up to 9 tickets.
