A NUMBER of people from east London and Essex are due to appear in court later today (Thursday) after having been charged with crimes in Kent, Essex and London.
Five people were arrested at Runners World on Peartree Road in Stanway at 1am on Wednesday, October 2 and have now all been charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit a burglaries with intent to steal relating to offences in London, Kent and Essex between Tuesday, September 24 and Wednesday, October 2, 2013.
Christopher Cameron, a 34-year-old unemployed man from Malan Square in Rainham; James Noakes, a 35-year-old unemployed man from Pacific Road in Newham; Ben Tokeley, a 32-year-old self-employed man from Wolseley Avenue in Jaywick; Johnnie McKay, a 33-year-old unemployed man from Romford Road in Aveley; and 33-year-old unemployed Frederick Collins of no fixed address have all been detained in police custody prior to their appearances at Colchester Magistrates Court on Thursday, October 3.
Frederick Collins has also been charged with one count of being in possession of a Class B drug.
The men were arrested following an Kent & Essex Serious Crime Directorate operation with the Metropolitan Police.
