THIS half term, go wild in the woods with fun, free activities for all the family at Mardyke Woods in South Ockendon. The Forestry Commission will be hosting activities for all you thrill-seekers!
For a Hallowe’en scare, join in with a Spooky Scavenger Hunt on Wednesday 30th October between 2pm and 4pm. Just turn up and pick up a map from the Ranger at Cherwell Grove.
Get on your bike at a Cycle Clinic on Tuesday 29th October, 1pm – 4pm, where you can get a free bike MOT, join skills training sessions and make a smoothie by bike power!
For more experienced young bikers aged 10-14, mountain bike rides are taking place on Friday 1st November between 11am – 4.30pm. Book your free place with the Community Ranger on 01708 642964 or at thameschase@forestry.gsi.gov.uk.
