Safety Partnership issue Christmas warning

THE Thurrock Community Safety Partnership is warning people that thieves enjoy Christmas shopping too.

Between the end of October and mid-November thieves stole eight handbags, nine sat navs, and eight mobiles phones left in plain sight in parked cars.

All the thefts and the misery that goes with them, could have been prevented if people followed this advice: ensure you lock your vehicles doors – always manually check after using remote key fobs, and don’t leave any valuables on display.

In addition, drivers should consider using steering locks which make cars less susceptible to theft.
