On FRIDAY (20 December) there will be a free Liftshare buffet lunch at Thurrock Council’s Civic Offices in New Road, Grays.
Committee rooms 2 and 3 will host the event between noon and 2pm and Mayor of Thurrock Cllr Tony Fish will be there.
The event is a “thank you” to everyone who is already a member of the Liftshare scheme – and a prompt to others to consider joining.
By sharing car journeys you can cut the cost of travel, as well as helping to reduce emissions and traffic congestion. You don’t have to commit to sharing every day – it’s a flexible system.
On Friday there will also be a brief presentation from a Liftshare expert and a chance to discuss the scheme.
Everyone who signs up will be entered into a prize draw to win a Christmas food hamper, and for each person signing up Thurrock’s local food bank will receive a £1 donation.
