POLICE ARE investigating a burglary after a man overcame the security at a Tilbury school and stole a mobile phone in the middle of the school day.
The person was spotted at just after 1pm on Wednesday (December 18th) in the grounds of the Lansdowne Academy in Lansdowne Road, Tilbury.
YT understands that the person was immediately challenged by staff, taken to the front of the school and ordered to leave.
Police were then called, attended and are studying CCTV as part of their investigation.
The school has written to all parents to inform them of the incident.
