SOUTH BASILDON and East Thurrock MP, Stephen Metcalfe has secured a meeting with the prime minister, David Cameron on the Lower Dartford Crossing.
Mr Metcalfe asked the question at Prime Ministers Question Time in the House of Commons on Wednesday afternoon.
Mr Metcalfe said: “We would ask that the prime minister meet us as we are concerned that the Options A and C will not maximise the potential to sustain and extend growth in the area?”
The prime minister replied: “It always seems to be the case that where Essex leads, the rest of the UK follows.
I am happy to meet the right hon.member and other concerned parties over this issue.”
