They had been implementing a lane closure on the westbound carriageway following a minor road crash on Saturday, October 12, 2013 when they discovered the engraved-gold pocket watch and necklaces.
Officers have spent the past five months trying to identify its rightful owner, but have failed to do through a number of enquiries.
Investigating Officer, Ds David Wilkinson, said: “Despite our best efforts, we have yet to identify the owners of these items. We are keen to hear from the genuine owners who believe any of the property shown may belong to them.”
Anyone who believes the items belong to them are urged to contact detectives at Grays police station on 101.
