THURROCK’S latest Prince’s Trust team is planning a couple of fund-raising events in the coming days.
On Wednesday (19 February) Team 6 will be carrying out a sponsored walk on Wednesday 19th from the soon-to-be Karis-May Darling Community building in Corringham Park to the Civic Offices where they will to meet Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Tony Fish.
And they will be holding a quiz night at the Crooked Billet, Billet Lane, Stanford-le-Hope on Friday, 28 February.
The quiz night is being held between 7pm and 11pm and costs £3 per person with a maximum team size of eight.
Fourteen young people make up Team 6 and they are all aged between 16 and 24 and are planning to raise funds to help finish some of the building work for the Karis-May Darling Community building so the foundation can open it as soon as possible.
