STAFF at HW Wilson will be sleeping on the streets of Southend on Saturday night in order to raise money for charity. The intrepid trio of Peter Whiffen, Phil Pearson and Jeni Beckett are hoping to raise money for the Southend YMCA in what is called the Southend SleepEasy.
Jeni Beckett said: “It is a really good cause. We know the weather has not been good but that just gives us a small idea of what it is like for people who have to suffer sleeping on the streets, night after night.”
We have raised £400 so far and hope to raise a lot more.
