Thurrock’s latest Prince’s Trust team raised over a thousand pounds to boost their efforts to help a local charity.
In February the team raised a total of £1,035 with a sponsored walk, a raffle and a quiz night.
The 14 young people who make up Team 6 are all aged between 16 and 24 and raised the money to help finish some of the building work for the Karis-May Darling Community building in Corringham Park so the Karis-May Darling Foundation can open it as soon as possible.
On Wednesday,19 February the team finished their sponsored walk from the park to the Civic Offices where they met Mayor of Thurrock, Cllr Tony Fish (pictured).
They also held a quiz night at the Crooked Billet, Billet Lane, Stanford-le-Hope.
