INTU, the UK’s biggest shopping centre brand, launched a campaign to celebrate mums up and down the country by encouraging shoppers to take to Twitter. With Mother’s Day fast approaching, intu Lakeside is hoping to find out why shoppers believe they have the very best mum and all the reasons that they love them.
From 10th to 23rd March, and in no more than 140 characters, intu shoppers will be asked to tweet @intuLakeside using #mumstheword to tell the centre why their mum deserves an extra special treat on Mother’s Day this year.
Izzie Peskett, Marketing Manager for intu Lakeside, comments, “Mother’s Day is an excellent opportunity to say thank you to the mums who do so much for everyone else throughout the year. We are really excited about celebrating the mums of Essex via social media and, you never know, we may select a few to reward with some extra special treats!”
Whilst shopping, customers can make use of the free Wi-Fi in-centre to instantly tweet their #mumstheword ideas to the intu team, who will be monitoring Twitter closely at 12 intu centres across the UK.
