THURROCK Gateway is the newest Rotary Club in Essex. We have 28 members with ages ranging from 23 to 65, and meet at the Park Inn by Radisson(North Stifford) on the first three Mondays of each month.
Rotary itself is a world wide organisation with over 30,000 clubs in over 200 countries and 1.2 million members.
As a Club they have raised thousands of pounds this past year for local and international charities by way of both social and fundraising events.
They manage the Horndon Feast & Fayre 10K Road Race, Race Nights, Quiz Evenings and various social outings within the Club for members, family and friends.
A spokesperson said: “Whilst mindful of what the club is doing is designed to help those less fortunate than ourselves, we see no reason why we should not have a wonderful time doing it and enjoy ourselves in the process as well as the numerous business and networking opportunities afforded to club members.
