Met Police 1 v 2 Grays Athletic
IT was only February 22nd when Grays slumped 4-1 at home to Canvey Island. Grays were then heading headlong towards the relegation zone. What a difference 29 days makes.
Grays produced another excellent performance to beat the Met, who are a respectable, durable mid-table team.
But Grays, who made changes in order to give players a break as well as blood in new players still managed to out-play the Met.
Boss Andy Swallow still believes that if they win all their games in hand then they could be six points off the play-offs.
Goals by Chris Benjamin secured the three points. Unfortunately, he was later sent off.
Grays’s next game is on Tuesday night away at bottom side Cray Wanderers then Thursday away at Margate followed by a home fixture on Saturday when they welcome Hampton and Richmond.
