A MAN was trapped in his van after a road traffic collision on the A13 in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Firefighters used small gear, bolt croppers and blocks to free a man trapped in his van.
The incident happened on the A13 Southend bound between the A1089 Orsett Cock and Dock Approach Road, Tilbury junctions.
Police closed the road while firefighters stabilised the venicle and worked alongside paramedics to free the casualty.
He was released by 04:03 hrs and left in the care of the Ambulance Service.
