AMBULANCE service crew found a man with a facial injury in Clarence Road, Grays on Saturday, April 26 around 2.15am and called police.
The man, in his 50s, did not speak English and the incident had been reported by a friend. The victim, who lives in Grays, was treated for a suspected broken nose at hospital. Police investigations later identified a possible scene in Cart Lane.
The victim spoke to police with the aid of a translator on April 27, and local police officers will continue to investigate this incident as an assault and theft.
