===========================

POLICE are growing increasingly concerned for the welfare of a 16-year-old boy missing from South Ockendon

Reece Loft left his home in Cruick Avenue at about 5.15pm on Thursday May 8 following an argument with his mother.

He did not take a mobile phone and has made no attempts to contact his home.

Extensive police searches are being carried out in the local area and enquiries are being made among school friends and others who know Reece.

DCI Paul Maleary who is leading the investigation said: “Reece is vulnerable by virtue of his age and because he may struggle to cope being away from home and being on his own.

“It is extremely worrying that he has not tried to contact his family and that nothing has been seen or heard of him since Thursday evening.

“We want to hear from anyone who has seen him any time since his disappearance so that we can try to piece together his movements.”

Reece is about 5ft 11in tall, of slim build and has long dark wavy hair. When last seen he was wearing dark coloured jeans and a zipped hooded cardigan and dark blue Converse shoes.

Anyone with information should contact police at Grays on 101.
