ON SATURDAY lunchtime, YT sat down with the UKIP candidate for Stanford East and Corringham Town.
In 2011, Roy Jones was 513 votes behind the winner. In 2012 he narrowed the gap to 380. The question is: Can Roy overhaul that gap on May 22nd?
You may well find this interview with Roy interesting. He keeps it very local and stresses that he wants to see positive benefits of investment in the area for the people of Stanford and Corringham.
It is the type of theme that exercises many people in the area. You just have to go onto the much-lauded Stanford and Corringham Facebook page to see such concerns raised.
Full details of all candidates can be found here
