Corringham man charged after collision in Fobbing

A MAN from Thurrock is due to appear in court next month (June) after he was charged with a motoring offence following a road crash in Fobbing.

The collision happened in Fobbing when the driver of a silver Ford Fiesta lost control of the car while travelling along High Road in the early hours of Saturday, March 29. It was found abandoned with extensive collision damage, but officers could not determine what it had struck.

A 24-year-old man from Corringham was arrested at his home address in Corringham a few hours later before being released on police bail pending further enquiries. These have now concluded and Richie Ireton has now been charged with one count of driving without insurance.

The unemployed man from Giffords Cross Road is currently on police bail until his appearance at Basildon Magistrates Court on Thursday, June 5.
