Thurrock Lions making spectacle of themselves

THURROCK Lions are busy collecting unused/unwanted spectacles. So far, since July last year they have collected 3,300 pairs. Each pair is sent off to a Lions Club in Chichester, West Sussex who sort out the lenses and frames. These are then sent abroad to countries that are in desperate need of them.

Thurrock Lions are asking members of the public to take their unused specs to the following places where a special collection box is placed. It doesn’t matter if they are not in a holder or case, just the frames and/or lenses will do:-
