European Election results (Thurrock)

UKIP polled a remarkable 17,416 votes in Thurrock in what has been a very successful week for Nigel Farage’s party.

In 2009, they polled 6, 626 votes on what was seen as a successful night then.

Labour’s vote went up by 3,000 votes from 5,589 in 2009 to 8,645 in 2014.

The Conservative vote also went up from 6,946 in 2009 to 7,387 in 2014.

  1. It is time that the other parties woke up and smelt the coffee, UKIP are not going away, they are now the third main party ahead of the Libs and they will continue to increase support, the Peoples Army will be making their march on Westminster next year

  2. Wotten wascally wacists of Thurrock and beyond.You are the carbuncle on the bum of life. Whereas the lovely socialists have brought you mass immigration; the worst recession in 100 years; a country where your children can’t afford to rent, let alone buy their own home; wages squeezed because of job competition at the bottom; massive youth unemployment. We could go on.

    The trouble with the tribal left and their racism argument is that they simply have no proof. It’s their stock insult and they think it works. They are still in denial at the fact that nobody cares. Boo hoo they called me a racist. I could also be a cad and a nincompoop. About as relevant a response from the left.
