A CALL has gone out to stall-holders to stake their place at this year’s annual Horndon-on-the-Hill Feast and Fayre which will be staged over the weekend of June 28th & 29th.
This year the theme of the event will be ‘Arthurian Legends’ and highlights of the weekend will include: A Dark Ages living history encampment by Essex historical enactment group Saebert’s Folc, The Horndon 10k on Sunday 29th, a flower festival in Horndon Parish Church, plus music, street entertainment and the annual tug-of-war contest between the two village pubs The Bell and The Swan.
Event coordinator Kim Towlson commented: “The Feast & Fayre is one of the highlights of the Essex summer calendar and represents a perfect opportunity for traditional crafts people and charities to sell their wares. Our event always attracts thousands of people over the course of the weekend and is regarded as a wonderful day out for families. Stallholders, especially those plying traditional crafts always do well.”
