Thameside panto auditions this Saturday…oh no it’s not..etc etc

POLKA Dot Pantomimes and Thurrock Council are presenting the fairest Panto of them all for 2014/2015 with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs – a spectacular pantomime for all the family whether you are 3 or 103 years old! With 52 performances from Friday 5 December 2014 to Sunday 4 January 2015 and all the fun, magic and adventure you’ve come to expect from traditional pantomime you can be sure that Polka Dot will bring you the perfect treat for your festive celebrations.

This year, Polka Dot Pantomimes are looking for an all singing all dancing chorus of boys and girls, who are full of personality aged between 8 and 18 years of age. The Company are also looking for boys and girls (no taller than 5ft) to play the seven dwarfs.

No previous dance, acting or singing experience is required; Polka Dot Pantomimes welcome ANYONE with a genuine interest in theatre to audition. This is your chance to perform in front of thousands of people – an amazing experience you won’t want to miss. Dazzling costumes, fabulous scenery and some truly magical surprises are just a few of the things you can expect when you take part. This is guaranteed to be a magical opportunity that you will NEVER EVER forget!

The Company will be looking to form three teams of children, who will alternate days during the run of the production, performing alongside the Company’s Celebrity and West End cast.

Those wishing to audition as Junior and Senior Dancers should attend between 10am and 1pm
Those wishing to audition as Dwarfs should attend between 2pm and 4pm
If your child is 5ft or under they can audition as Dancers and Dwarfs if they wish
(Please note that children wishing to audition must be no younger than 8 by 1st September 2014).

If you wish to audition, please contact Polka Dot Pantomimes on 01775 712359 and they will send you an audition application. Alternatively, you can pop into the Thameside Theatre and pick up one there! The audition pack MUST be filled in and brought with you on the audition day. The form will also require you to attach a recent photograph (passport style is probably best).

The chance to perform in this year’s Pantomime Production is truly amazing but it will require permission for children to be released from school for some performances. This is kept to a minimum and although many schools are supportive of their pupils participating in events such as this, parents should speak to Head teachers before the audition to ensure that they are willing to allow absence from school should your child be successful. Your child MUST be available for their selected performance dates and for ALL rehearsals. Every child performing requires a performance license – Polka Dot Pantomimes co-ordinate this but need parental support to help them achieve that!

Polka Dot Pantomimes look forward to seeing you……….and would like to WISH YOU THE BEST OF LUCK!
