Two Crooks don’t make a right as brothers plead guilty to break ins on Grays high street

TWO GRAYS brothers pleaded guilty to a number of burglaries at estate agents in Grays on Sunday night/Monday morning.

Wesley Crooks (32) Morrison House, Grays and Steven Crooks (30) of Seabrook Rise, Grays were arrested following break-ins to Bairstow Eves and Haart on Orsett Road, Grays.

A court heard that police were alerted to the break ins at the weekend which occured sometime between 4pm on Sunday June 29th and 0800 hours on Monday June 30th. Over £2.500 worth of goods were stolen from the estate agents.

After the police were alerted, their inquiries led them to the homes of both suspects. They looked on cctv footage from the front of Morrison House in Gray which showed the brothers leaving and returning at approximately 1 am on Monday morning. The footage also saw them in possession of goods which matched the description of goods taken from the estate agents.

The case was adjourned for further reports.
