THREE members of Thurrock Swimming Club proudly represented the county of Essex at the recent ASA East Region Inter-County Gala held at Basildon.

Martine Tran, Andrew Martindale and Jamie Speers were members of the Essex squad who competed in the long-course meet against the counties of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridgeshire.

In a fiercely fought gala, Essex overtook Hertfordshire in the final few races and finished in second place to Suffolk.
