St Clere’s student set for court to face “threats to kill and offensive weapon charges

A ST CLERE’S school pupil has been charged with taking a knife into school and threatening to kill two fellow pupils.

An Essex police spokesman said: “We were contacted shortly before 9am on Wednesday, July 2nd, and asked to attend St Clere’s School, Butts Lane, Stanford-le-Hope due to reports of a boy threatening two 12-year-old children via BlackBerry Messenger.

“A pupil was arrested. This boy has been charged with carrying an offensive weapon and making threats to kill.

“He will appear at Basildon Youth Court on July 22nd”
