PUPILS in Thurrock’s schools were given the opportunity to win some amazing scooters in a competition from the council’s road safety team.
Key Stage 1 children were asked to design artwork showing their journey to school on a scooter and Key Stage 2 pupils were asked to design a poster showing tips on how to scoot to school safely.
The winning entries were chosen by Ann Osola Thurrock Council’s Head of Transportation and Highways.
Key Stage 1 winners were: 1st Oluwadabira Erinle, who attends West Thurrock Academy; 2nd Caitlin Mayes, from Belmont Castle Academy; 3rd Anuoluwapo Faseha, from West Thurrock Academy.
Key Stage 2 winners were: 1st Lucy Connor, from Belmont Castle Academy; 2nd Feyishola Adenrele, from St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary; 3rd Aiden Mahony, from St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary.
Winners were presented with their prizes by Julie Cooper the project co-ordinator for the road safety team.
