NGAGE, the community organisation and volunteer centre for Thurrock, would like to take this opportunity to thank all the people who have volunteered their time to support the events that have taken place over the summer.

Many of the event volunteers were recruited by the ngage Volunteer Centre Thurrock and included events such as the Stanford Festival, T Fest, Big Lunch, WW1 event and many more.

Laura Hudson, volunteer coordinator said “The Stanford Festival, T fest, Big Lunch and WW1 event generated 553 volunteer hours and many people gave their time to help make these events such a huge success. The number of volunteer hours will be considerable higher when taking into account the other events that have taken place over the summer too. It’s possible that without the help of volunteers, many of the events may not have taken place”.

ngage worked with the National Citizenship Service (NCS) which brings together 16-17 year old and helps them develop greater confidence, self-awareness and responsibility whilst supporting social action projects. NCS young people volunteered over the T Fest weekend and WW1 event in Tilbury, following a presentation given to them at their residential by ngage staff.

If you would like to get involved in volunteering or volunteer at events or clean up days, why not give ngage volunteer centre Thurrock a call on 01375 389853 or visit our website www.ngagethurrock.org.uk.

Alternatively come along to the Recruitment Fayre on Tuesday 16th September at the Beehive Centre, West Street, Grays, RM17 6XP between 11am -2pm.

There will be a number of organisations seeking volunteers and we are also supporting the world biggest coffee morning for Macmillon’s at the recruitment fayre to help raise money for cancer support.
