THE worshippers at the All Saints Centre John Street in Grays had their annual clean up on Saturday the 6th of September.
There was a litter pick, cleaning grass from the gutters, and cleaning up an alley. In all they filled 12 brown wheelie bins, picked up enough cans to fill 2 blue wheelie bins and bags over 35 bags of other waste. "Realy we only managed to tackle a small area" said Andrew Blakey, one of the leaders of the the group. "but I hope you can see from the photos the difference it made".
Fortunately the skip was picked up before the clean up started. Litter pickers and refuse bags were provided by Thurrock Council.
The local residents were invited to tea and cakes at 12 after the clean up was complete and the group would like to thank all of those who loaned wheelie bins.
