RECENTLY, Thurrock Rugby Club was visited by representatives of the England and Essex RFUs who brought with them a delegation from the Georgian Rugby Federation.
The visit was to show the way that an English rugby club with a rugby academy is set up and the work involved in making it a success.
A spokesperson for the club said: "It was an honour for Thurrock to be chosen as one of the participants in this reciprocal visit between the RFU and the Georgian RFU, which shows the high regard that TRFC is held in.
"The afternoon was a great success where the visitors witnessed practical skills and coaching techniques, before enjoying a buffet and further discussions.
