Grays Athletic set for FA Cup clash

GRAYS Athletic have an exciting match on Saturday October 11th when they face Conference South side Bromley in the FA Cup 3rd Preliminary Round.

It has been quite a journey for Grays Athletic, since they left Bridge Road in 2010.

They were relegated from the Conference Premier and went into the Ryman Division One North. Time and time again, many thought they would disappear and yet, time and time again, Grays Athletic defied the critics and came bouncing back.

They won the Ryman Division One North in 2013 with an incredible run of wins. They consolidated in 2013-14 in the Ryman Premier with more or less the same players. In a very brave move, those players and management (bar one or two) have now gone and they are building a fantastic and fascinating team around ambitious new boss, Jody Brown.

Yes, they now play up at Mill Field, Aveley but they have their hopes and dreams on one day returning to Grays and after defying so many on so many occasions, who can doubt them.

So, come and support a team with a rich history and a promising future.
