Football: FA Cup dream still alive as The Rocks beat Tooting

FA Cup Third Preliminary Round

East Thurrock United 2 v 1 Tooting and Mitcham

EAST THURROCK United go into the bag for the fourth qualifying round of the FA Cup after a 2-1 victory against Tooting and Mitcham.

The draw on Monday brings in the non-league big boys and could see the Rocks travelling to Wrexham or Torquay.

Rocks were always the dominant team in this fixture but went behind when Billy Marshall scored after neat one-two play.

The Rocks drew level just before the break when Mitchell Gilbey curled the ball home from close range.

The winning goal came from Lewis Smith whose change of pace foxed Tooting as he scored to put the Rocks in the next round.
