FIRE CREWS were called to deal with a leakage of gas from a gas pipe feeding an internal meter at a house sparking a fire.
The incident occurred at Richmond, Grays.
The fire was isolated as crews stood by awaiting the arrival of a Gas Board engineer to turn off the supply to the property.
The incident was dealt with by 19:05 hrs.
