THERE were kind tributes to late Aveley councillor, Maggie O’Keefe-Ray made by all sides of the chamber on Wednesday night.
Thurrock Council leader, John Kent led the tributes followed by acting Conservative leader, cllr James Halden, UKIP leader, Graham Snell and Independent, cllr Barry Palmer.
But the most poignant moment was left to Maggie’s grieving husband, cllr Robert Ray, who, in a display of immense inner strength and fortitude, took the opportunity to thank the chamber and many outside for their kind thoughts and messages.
