POLICE want to identify three men who called at a house in the Newton Road area of Tilbury and threatened the householder if she didn’t give them money.
Investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Natalia Ross, said: "The men called at around 10.30pm on Monday November 3. The victim did not give the men anything but they threatened her and suggested they would be returning.
"There were children in the house at the time this happened and the woman has been left very frightened. We have taken steps to ensure their safety and are working to establish why the man called at her property.”
The men who called at the house were all black, the first was aged around 35, 5ft 9in tall, of slim build, with very short black hair. He was wearing a dark green jacket with collar, navy blue jeans and trainers.
The second man was around 30, 5ft 9in tall, stocky, with short black hair and a round face. He was also missing the top half of his left ear as if it had been cut off.
He was wearing a blue sports-style pullover and blue tracksuit trousers. The third man was also around 30 and 5ft 5in tall. He was of slim build and had stubble on his face.
He was wearing a dark coloured woolly hat with the peak turned down, a navy blue jacket with a white zip, and dark trousers. Anyone who saw anything at the time is asked to call DS Ross at Grays CID on 101.
