Thurrock pays tribute to those who gave their lives

A SERIES of remembrance services across the borough paid tribute to the men and women who gave their lives for their country.

From Aveley to Tilbury, hundreds of residents turned out to pay their respects.

In Grays, Rev. Darren Barlow conducted a beautiful service interwoven with music from Grays Town Band and the massed ranks from across the military.

Wreaths were laid by a host of civic leaders including Thurrock MP, Jackie Doyle-Price, Thurrock Council leader, cllr John Kent and the mayor of Thurrock, cllr Steve Liddiard.
